And the session was a goody, unluckily for some of the guys who decided to try the squad for the first time;-).Walking into the pool was the first shock for everyone, 50m pool in a Wednesday morning? This was not helped by the fact only half the lanes had ropes in so we took the I roped space at the side of the pool to do squad. (Worked out pretty well with the guidance of super coach Ben;-)
300 warm up done including some skulking then some 100s with fist swim then swim.
Main set was the bugger though. 7x 100 on 1.45 concentrating on a high stroke count. Check out this swim smooth article posted on Three coaching to see why. Then it was a steady warm down and some easy drills to finish. Coffee and breakfast afterwards was a s good as ever at Sierra and it was great to see A few more faces there too.
